From building schools for children in disaster affected areas to contributing towards a greener earth, to inviting parentless children to participate in our Annual Day celebrations, Sonatians believe in the art of sharing.

Empowering through education :

Sonata has partnered with BHUMI, an NGO based in Hyderabad to support education of the children at Rasoolpura Government High School. Rasoolpura is the largest urban slum in Hyderabad, and houses 1,00,000 residents, including 20,000 children.

Sonata partnered with Hope Foundation, an NGO operating in 22 cities in India, for the construction of an English medium school at Tharangambadi, a town on the eastern coast of Tamil Nadu, India. The centre provides education to the Tsunami-affected children of the region.
Sonata has donated computers to several schools and institutions in India that work with underprivileged children in the area of education.

Sonata Software has launched important initiatives within the organization to promote the cause of Green IT. It has aligned its IT agenda with mission-critical sustainability goals in order to increase energy efficiency and productivity while reducing carbon footprint.

Going Green, Differently – Sonatians every year send out e-cards during the New Year. These e-cards are painted by students of Rasoolpura Government High School and the Hope Foundation. This initiative serves the dual objective of a green, pollution-free environment by saving paper as well as supporting the cause of Sonata’s NGO partners.

Providing relief to victims of natural calamities :

Sonata partnered with Goonj, an India based NGO to aid them in their relief operations in the flood-affected areas in Bihar.

Sonata partnered with BHUMI to raise funds for re-habilitating the flood-affected weavers of Rajoli village in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

Sonata partnered with the Hope Foundation and raised funds for building homes for the flood affected people in Raichur, Karnataka.
|
